James J. Zahrowski, DMD, MS is one of the most established and respected orthodontists in Orange County with a private practice now for two decades. What’s kept his business thriving is his philosophy to exceed his patients’ expectations.
Dr. Zahrowski goes beyond simply creating straight teeth for his patients and pays great attention to achieve an attractive facial balance. He works to augment children’s facial growth for better function and esthetics. He is involved in treating very difficult orthodontic cases, such as cleft palate and severe growth anomalies.
Orthodontics is not just for teenagers, but the ages can often run from small children to senior citizens. Many esthetic orthodontic appliances have arisen to allow adults to continue an active lifestyle; however these should never be allowed to dictate inferior results.
Dr. Zahrowski’s extensive education paved the way for his successful career, which has given so many local children and adults the smiles of their dreams. He underscores the fact that orthodontic treatment is one of the most cost effective procedures, which can lessen or prevent future expensive dental treatments. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at UC Riverside, a Masters of Science in Oral Biology at UCLA, a Doctor of Pharmacy at USC and culminated with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry at Oregon Health Sciences University, completion of an orthodontic specialty program at UCLA and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Recently, many technical changes have occurred in the specialty of orthodontics. He is a firm believer of continuing education in order to provide the best care. This is why he has written articles published in 4 major journals, was a former 6 year clinical orthodontic instructor at UCLA and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Society and Orange County Dental Society.
Dr. Zahrowski has hand-picked a warm and caring staff to make sure his patients always feel comfortable and welcome. He also assures the office appointment times are efficiently met to allow families and professionals a quick return to their other important responsibilities.
